Overview

Lucy is a construction disputes and international arbitration specialist with a wide range of experience representing and advising domestic and international clients on complex construction, infrastructure, energy, oil and gas matters. She has extensive Middle-East experience, having worked in the UAE for eight years before returning to England, and enjoys the opportunities and challenges of undertaking complex disputes across multiple jurisdictions. Lucy is known by clients for her excellent technical and strategic skills, commercial focus, and her willingness to always go the extra mile.

Lucy is based in Mantle Law’s London office.

Representing an international contractor in a UAE multimillion DIFC-LCIA arbitration subcontract dispute regarding defects and late completion of an iconic building in Dubai pursuant to a bespoke FIDIC contract.

Representing a publicly listed contractor in a DIAC arbitration concerning time, money and technical issues in respect of the construction of a large hospital project pursuant to a heavily amended FIDIC contract.

Representing an Abu Dhabi government owned company in an expert determination process in relation to a USD 500m dispute with its contractor regarding the construction of a 400km multi-billion dollar crude oil pipeline under a bespoke EPC contract.

Project counsel advice for an international contractor in connection with major disputes arising out of the construction of the first nuclear power plant in the UAE, with a value of US$ 5.5billion.
