Having established ourselves as both experts and disruptors in the Middle East, one of the most dynamic regions in the World, and the UK, one of the most competitive markets in the World, we are rapidly expanding our global practice.
Our confidence and reputation is founded on a proven track record of delivering for clients in a way that makes a potentially-combative experience as smooth and painless as possible.
We are trusted by the biggest global players in the sector, including the World’s largest multinational contractors and major State developers and manage an enviable claims portfolio. Progressive and continually innovating, we are incredibly proud to have been nominated as a finalist at The Lawyer Awards 2023 in the category of Boutique Law Firm of the Year.
First and foremost, you will have access to the best arbitration and disputes lawyers in the business, with experience both in-house and in the World’s largest law firms. We instinctively understand the need to align with your commercial goals, and are adept at integrating into your teams.
Because of our industry focus and our boutique structure, we are exceptionally agile. No laborious or unnecessary processes, just a straightforward phone call to any of us, for any reason, at any time.
We’re a hands on, sleeves-rolled-up kind of firm. We ask the right questions to understand the context of the dispute, regularly coming on-site to experience your reality. No judgment, no superiority. Just partnership.
Our success has been built on repeatedly doing the right thing for clients, whilst remaining compassionate human beings. The proof? Our business has expanded almost entirely through referrals.
In many ways, the legal industry no longer meets the needs of business today. Global organisations need exceptional, cost-effective legal counsel delivered flawlessly without bureaucracy or unnecessary processes. And for us, no working practice is sacred.
As a modern law firm, we have the freedom to innovate relentlessly for our clients. From proposals to pricing; client partnerships to technology – if it works, great. If it doesn’t, we’ll make it better.
We focus on welcoming the most experienced lawyers from the World’s top firms into Mantle, rather than leveraging less experienced legal talent on client projects. We have unique arrangements with the largest construction barrister sets in London to integrate senior junior counsel into our teams; we believe that having the right people to deliver client success is more important than keeping each and every billable hour in-house.
We are not beholden to the billable hour when it is not the right approach. We have accommodated fixed priced arbitrations for disputes in the US$ 100s millions on a staged fixed price basis, and a series of contingency fee arrangements with one client on their biggest global project. We back our judgment and are open to sharing risk with clients as well as exploring advanced dispute funding and insurance options to protect our clients’ bottom line.
We believe technology should facilitate the client experience rather than complicate it, selecting the right technologies to meet specific needs. As well as investing in AI research, we have preferential arrangements with specialist firms, and often work with clients to design and construct a web-based data platform to ensure communication is put at the heart of our working relationship.
We will always keep your commercial needs front and centre in our approach, and regularly lead on collaborations with other law firms in service of collective efficiencies.
We invest our own time getting to know your teams, from C-Suite downwards, seeking to understand your commercial reality in order to act in a way that is fully aligned with your business goals. We offer training and materials to support knowledge transfer to your in-house teams, to increase skill levels across the client-firm partnership. We also offer in-house legal support to review the approach and performance of other law firms as required.
