Overview

Georgina has extensive experience in complex, high value, international arbitration disputes under a range of arbitral seats, governing laws and rules of arbitration. She represents clients in a variety of industry sectors, with a particular focus on energy, construction and infrastructure, Georgina also has experience acting in litigation claims in the High Court, TCC and DIFC Court, as well in adjudications and mediations.

Georgina has been recognised as a key lawyer in Dispute Resolution: International Arbitration in Legal 500 UK 2020 and 2021 where she is described by sources as a “rising star in international disputes”.

Georgina is based in Mantle Law’s London office.

Acted for a Central Asian state and state-owned hydrocarbon company in ICC arbitration proceedings against a hydrocarbon company regarding claims in excess of US$ 100million made under a Production Sharing Agreement concerning hydrocarbon assets in Central Asia.

Advised a global exploration and production company as Claimant in a dispute with a multinational energy and petrochemical company as Respondent under a bespoke Joint Operating Agreement governed by English law in respect of hydro-carbon assets in South America.

Advised an international engineering company in respect of arbitration proceedings against a sub-contractor concerning the construction of a nuclear reactor.

Acting for a PPP project development company in claims and disputes with its contractor arising out of significant and widespread fire safety defects in the 4th largest Hospital in Europe.

Advising a global exploration and production company as Claimant in a dispute with a multinational corporation in the oil, natural gas and energy industry as Respondent under a bespoke Share Purchase Agreement in respect of environmental claims totalling in excess of US$ 50million relating to hydro-carbon assets.

Acting for a multinational construction company in a series of ADCCAC arbitrations arising from the construction of and delayed completion of a project in the Middle East.

Acting for a major international construction company as part of a consortium as joint Claimants in ICC arbitration proceedings against a state as under a FIDIC contract concerning a major infrastructure construction project.

Acted for an international façade construction company in TCC proceedings and a series of adjudications with a sub-contractor under a bespoke contract concerning works relating to the redevelopment and expansion of a major railway station and transport hub.
